Sans computer, day 4

As I mentioned before, I've been getting my PC upgraded and repaired. It's been quite the little adventure and I'm told that still shouldn't expect to have a working PC back until Wednesday. I won't bore everyone will all the details, but suffice to say I've spent most of the past four days running back and forth exchanging computer components and resisting the urge to pummel Future Shop employees with heavy, blunt objects.

Still, it's not all bad, I've had a chance to read Bill Bryson's excellent A Short History of Nearly Everything which had been sitting on the shelf for months.

I also discovered Kellee's blog on the weekend and read some musings about the potential of digital puppetry, which led me to the web site of puppeteer-turned computer animator Emre Yilmaz. It's actually pretty amazing how many people go back and forth between puppetry and computer animation, including the always lovely Karen Prell and her husband Nien Nunb (known in galaxies not quite so far away as Mike Quinn).
