Bitpass bits

Comics fans should check out part two of Scott McCloud's innovative online comic The Right Number which debuted Thursday. In case you missed the first installment, TRN uses a Flash-based "picture in picture" transition effect that Scott first proposed a few years ago in his book Reinventing Comics. Clever stuff. Downloading the comic costs 25 cents via Bitpass, the innovative micropayment service Scott has championed that I plan to use for Bear Town.

Speaking of which, looks like Bear Town won't be the first episodic online series on the web using Bitpass. That honour goes to Dark Commandos, an award-winning vampire adventure series.
